As a young child, lego characters were the limited rigs I had to work with, but these crude stop-motion films planted the seeds of creativity. The seeds grew quietly and steadily throughout my active youth, exploding suddenly with the realization that the creatures in Jurassic Park didn't create themselves. Though obvious in hindsight, this revelation immediately began to sink in and an infectious idea took hold. Initially untrained, the idea was wild. With guidance and training from several critical yet thoughtful mentors, an animator grew.
A citizen of both Canada and the United States, I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with a brief stop in Texas during the early years. Growing up, both sides of my brain were thoroughly stretched. Constantly in motion; I engaged in activities ranging from gymnastics and ice hockey to video games and film, as well as having an interest in reading, writing, math and science.
I enrolled at the Academy of Art University in the Spring of 2007 and have charged through the BFA - Animation and Visual Effects program specializing in Realistic 3D Character Animation, graduating in May of 2011. I seek employment as a 3D animator at a studio with a team that produces only the most exceptional standard of work and challenges me to continuously expand my animation skills.
